Flash Player issues on Windows 8

Solution:

Its helps you to resolves issues that you can face while playing rich media content on embedded Adobe Flash player on Windows 8.

Windows 8 provides Internet Explorer in two modes:
*** Modern mode: The version with a new appearance
*** Desktop mode: The version that's more similar to the previous version of internet Explorer

Do the following if you find issues with playing rich media:

Check if the content can be played in the Desktop mode

If the content doesn't play in the Modern mode, see if it plays in the Desktop mode by following the steps below:
Note: Flash Player is embedded in both versions. The Compatibility View (CV) list enables compatible rich media content in Internet Explorer in Modern mode. If the content is not playing in Modern mode, it possible that it isn't in the CV list. In this case, you can view your content in Internet Explorer in Desktop Mode.
  1. Swipe from the bottom or top edge to reveal the application bar.
  2. Open the Tools menu and select View On The Desktop. Check if you can view the content.

Disable ActiveX Filtering

  1. Open the page that has rich media content in Internet Explorer in the Desktop Mode. (See the previous section to know how to open the content in the Desktop mode.)
  2. Select Tools > Safety. If ActiveX Filtering is selected, clear it.

  3. Close the browser and open it. Then try to view the content.

Enable Flash Player

Ensure that Flash Player is enabled.
  1. Open the page that has rich media content in Internet Explorer in the Desktop Mode. For example, Find Flash Player. (See the previous section to know how to open the content in the Desktop mode.)
  2. From the Settings menu, choose Manage Add-ons.

  3. Select the Flash Player add-on: Shockwave Flash Object.
    Note:
Make sure that the site has rich media content to see Flash Player in the add-on list.

  4. Click Enable, and click then Close.

Install the latest version of Flash Player

The content could require a later version of Flash Player than you have installed. See if you have installed the latest Flash Player version by visiting the Find Version document. The second step in the document displays the version of Flash Player that you have.
Flash Player is embedded in Internet Explorer in Modern and Desktop Mode. All updates are delivered through the Windows Update mechanism. You can also download and install the latest update from the following links:
